Sweet Little Guy

It wasn't too long ago that I posted maternity pictures of this family of 2. Now little Preston is here and they're a family of 3. He was sooo sweet and completely adored by his parents and grandparents. It was really hard to narrow these down because we did so many different things with him since he was so willing. Thanks for letting me take pics of your little one! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I hope to add some more blog posts today to try and catch up. So, if you're waiting on one...be sure to check back in soon:)

3 x's a Bust

(Foreshadowing) Note to future clients: You probably shouldn't trust me to pick the locations:)

Lately a lot of people have just said "Why don't you pick the location. You probably know the good spots." Which is exactly what Mr. Logan's family did. So, since I've been going to a lot of the same places I thought that it would be fun to try a few places that I either hadn't used in a while and one new place that I've had my eye on for months. We meet up and they are going to follow me to the first location -- a group of large, gorgeous oak trees...let me correct that...they once were gorgeous. Because now, as I drive up, I realize that Hurricane Ike caused them to be trimmed quite a bit and there are a lot of downed wooden fences around them. We're able to do a few pictures and decide to move on to Lucky Location Two. NOT!

Location Two: A field of overgrown weeds, grass, wildflowers...it's perfect for the direction the sun was setting. We unloaded the couch(which is no easy feat), get it set up just at the edge of the greenery and start taking pictures. About 15 shots into the pictures they start jumping up and down shrieking because there are ants. I mean, there are ants covering their feet and ankles. Luckily, little Logan didn't have any on him. SORRY GUYS! We get all of them off and try a new spot...more ants. Next we move to a cemented area...a large (once was a parking lot) cemented area. Surely ants don't congregate on cement. Well, apparently they do because here we go again with the ants. Let's blaze from Location Number Two and on to Location Number Three.

Location Three: An abandoned store on a good-size lot where the sun really does set perfectly. I have envisioned a family shot right by the old door at the side. I tell them where to set up and as we approach I realize that the glass at the door has been busted out and is all over the ground in front. AAAHHHH! We are having no luck with locations. And I'm starting to think that ants are a recurring theme for me.

Logan is an absolute doll. He has the most gorgeous eyelashes and charming smile. Luckily, he cooperated wherever we ended up at. I really appreciate you guys having such a willingness for anything...it's always fun to try new ideas. I hope you're having a great vacation. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Everytime I look at these pictures I hear this in my head:
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah

Wah! I'm tired.

This little one had the best disposition. He was certainly a busy little boy, but super sweet and seemed like he had the best temperment. Just "chilled" and mostly happy. Between all of the adults around him we were able to keep him fairly contained from traveling too far (which of course he would have liked to go) and we tried to keep him occupied.

On the business end, I'm still trying to bust my bootie and catch up. I had finally caught up on some blog posts, but then that only lasted that day and now I'm behind again:( It's not because I'm not trying. I stay up way past anyone else in this house, usually get up and work before most of the people are up in the house, and try and work, work, work throughout the day. There are 2 days during the week where I get 5 hours kid-free time, and I have yet to do anything other than dr's appointments and work. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not because I'm lazy or not trying...I promise I am. I hate that it's taking me way longer than normal! Please understand! Ok, I know I'm whining now, but I'm tired and cranky and need to go to bed.

I hope everyone has a great weekend:)

Meet Miss Penelope...

who has the happiest name on earth. I just think that it's such a pleasant name and I get a huge smile when I hear it. We did her pictures in her room and I LOVE the way that it is decorated. It's totally pink, frilly, and pure girl. The picture that is in the background on a lot of these shots is just the coolest. I'm trying to see if I can get my hands on one! I love the 2 little birds and the way her name makes up the leaves. Miss P was really good for these and we were even able to get a few with her big brother. Hope you enjoy guys!

Another little sweetpea

I know, I know...another little one. They are coming out of the woodwork from every which way! At least I'm getting my newborn fix. She was soooo sweet. Mom had seen the bird's nest idea somewhere before and wanted to recreate it, so we did. Little Miss Berlin however was not loving her little nest. How can you blame her though with the prickly sticks poking at her feet every time she stretched. At least we caught a few before we had to move on. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

The sweetest family

This was the nicest family and their 3 boys were very well behaved. My son has always had more energy and been a bit more of a handful than my girls so I automatically assumed that if you added a couple of more boys to the one that it would be purely chaotic, but it definitely wasn't with this group. I'm sorry that it took a while to get your sneak peek up...hope you enjoy:)
